Responsibilites:
Sound design, environment sounds, implementation using FMOD in Unreal.
On Skylar & Plux I was a sound designer focused on environment sounds: waterfalls, sand falls, ambience and so on. I also took part in the overall sound design of the game. It was developed in Unreal Engine, and the sounds were integrated using FMOD.
Skylar and Plux is a cheerful platformer inspired by old-school platformers such as Ratchet & Clank and Jak & Daxter, developed by the indie studio Right Nice Games in Stockholm. It was released on May 19th 2017.
I mainly worked with ambient sounds and some SFX. The sounds were all set up in FMOD and then implemented into the engine. A lot of parameters were used to set sound levels of layered sounds, using both built-in distance parameters as well as custom parameters for lowpass/highpass filters for certain effects. I made nearly all ambiences using a library of my own recordings of summer forests and fields, as well as beaches and water (mainly recorded on Gotland).
